Find The Part:

“You know the thingymajig that attaches onto the boom?” Find specific parts with ease using the Exploded Diagrams ‘Workbooks’. These are designed to make your shopping experience as simple as possible. Simply download the Workbook PDF, zoom-in on the area that you need and identify the specific part number.  The Workbooks are available throughout your shopping experience on the boat pages. Example: RS Aero.

Our History:

The chandlery has a long-standing presence in the sailing industry – over 50 years!

  • 1973 – the London Dinghy Centre (LDC) was founded, selling chandlery bits, parts and clothing for sailors. LDC had several stores based southeast of London and offered mail orders from its catalogue.
  • 1994 LDC moved from London to the South Coast. Based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, LDC was at the heart of the UK dinghy scene. The first RS boats were launched; the RS400 and RS600.
  • 2003 LDC expanded the range to offer spares and repairs for RS Boats.
  • 2011 LDC moved from Chandlers Ford to Romsey, where the premises and operation doubled in size.
  • 2015 LDC rebranded as RS Sailing Store.
