Institute holds 26th Study Meeting

Our 26th Study Meeting took place on 22 April in Tokyo. Our guest speaker was Dr Eiji Komatsu from Meiji University. Dr Eiji Komatsu has delivered his presentation on Japan’s CCS legal framework in Japan and research finding on common guideline for legal framework in ASEAN countries for future CCS deployment.
Institute’s Yasuo Murakami also gave a very interesting presentation on financing CCS Projects.
Over 30 attendees engaged in the discussions during the study meeting and have once again shown that CCS plays a crucial role in climate mitigation and the NDCs achievements in Japan and the APAC region.
2019年4月22日（月）にインスティテュート日本事務所主催の第26回勉強会が都内で開催されました。
本会合の講師として、株式会社環境創生科学研究所の代表取締役所長および明治大学 環境法センター専門研究員である小松英司先生より「CCSのわが国の法政策とアジア地域の共通ルールの構築に向けて」というテーマで、日本およびアジア諸国における法規制の現況と今後のあり方についてご講演をいただきました。またインスティテュート日本事務所からは「金融機関のCSプロジェクトへの対応について」について村上泰郎事業担当シニアアドバイザーがお話させていただきました。
CCSの法規制とファイナンスという、今後のCCSの更なる展開における重要なテーマについて、30名を超える参加者の皆様から活発な質疑応答や意見交換が行われました。
